Indoor Air Purification Catalyst (Remove Formaldehyde & Benzenes at Room Temperature)

Indoor Air Catalyst (Remove Formaldehyde & Benzenes at Room Temperature) is based on cordierite honeycomb ceramic, coated with γ-active alumina as support, and uses unique rare earth additives and precious metals (Pd, Pt, Ag) as active components. It has catalytic purification and sterilization functions for pollutants such as formaldehyde and benzene. It has strong purification capabilities, full purification functions, long service life, and high mechanical strength.

At room temperature, it can convert formaldehyde to carbon dioxide and water by catalytic oxidation. The purification rate of formaldehyde is above 95%, and the concentration of formaldehyde can be reduced below 0.1ppm.

This type of catalyst can be installed in household appliances such as air purifiers, air conditioners, and ships, airplanes, and tanks to perform internal air purification treatment. It can also be installed in closets, cabinets, and refrigerators to sterilize, deodorize, and remove formaldehyde.

If the catalyst fails due to moisture, it can be regenerated by drying at 70 ° C or vacuum drying at 40 ° C for 2h. It can also be used in the sun for 2h.

Working principle:

This type of catalyst uses a low-temperature catalytic oxidation method. At room temperature, depending on the catalytic properties and surface properties of metal oxides, harmful gases such as formaldehyde and benzene can be reacted with benzene in the air to produce pollution-free Carbon dioxide and water.

Removal of formaldehyde reaction equation as follows:

HCHO+1.5O2→CO2+H2O
